Invite your team
Written by the CustomerSaid team · Updated Oct 14, 2026 · 2 min read
Feedback is more useful when support, sales and product all see it. Invitations let you bring teammates into your workspace with the right level of access.
Who can do this: people with the member management permission. By default that is the Owner and Admin roles.
Send an invitation
- Open Settings › Team.
- Enter your teammate's email address.
- Choose a role. The list shows every role except Owner, including any custom roles you created.
- Send the invitation.
Your teammate receives an email with a link. The link is valid for seven days.
What your teammate does
They open the link, sign in or create an account, and join the workspace. They must sign in with the same email address you invited. If they use a different address, the invitation will not match.
Choose the right role
- Admin manages the team, billing and integrations, and can do everything a Member can.
- Member captures feedback, reviews AI suggestions, manages opportunities and solutions, records decisions and uses the Analyst.
- Viewer reads the workspace and its feedback but cannot change anything.
You can create custom roles in Settings › Roles. See Roles and permissions.
Change a role or remove someone
- In Settings › Team, change a member's role from the role control next to their name. Pending invitations show the same control.
- To remove someone, choose remove on their row. They lose access right away. Their feedback, comments and assignments stay, and you can invite them again later.
- The Owner cannot be changed or removed.
Tips
- Sending a second invitation to the same email refreshes the link, role and expiry instead of creating a duplicate.
- A new teammate who has not accepted yet does not count as a member on your setup checklist. Acceptance completes the step.
- Your teammates can edit their own name and photo from their profile. Their sign-in email is locked.
Troubleshooting
The invitation link expired. Send a new invitation to the same address.
My teammate cannot join. Check that they signed in with the exact email you invited.
I cannot see Settings › Team. You need the member management permission. Ask an Owner or Admin.
Still stuck?
Ask the Analyst inside the app. It answers from your own evidence and from these guides.
