Revenue visibility

Written by the CustomerSaid team · Updated Oct 14, 2026 · 2 min read

Company revenue makes priorities concrete, but not everyone should see it. CustomerSaid treats revenue as its own permission, so you can share feedback widely and keep money details private.

Two separate permissions

  • View revenue. See revenue figures on companies, the dashboard, opportunities, solutions, the inbox, CSV previews and in Analyst answers.
  • Update revenue. Change a company's revenue, including through a CSV import of existing companies.

With view but not update, people see the amount but the input is hidden.

Who has it by default

Owners and Admins can view and update revenue. Members and Viewers cannot. New custom roles start without revenue access. Change this in Settings › Roles.

What hidden means

Without view permission, revenue columns, totals and filters disappear. Rankings stay the same for everyone: the priority score still uses revenue, and ordering lists such as the Tell customers screen never sorts by revenue. Analyst answers and AI agents connected over MCP omit revenue too.

ARR or MRR

Choose how your workspace works with revenue.

Who can do this: people who can update workspace settings.

  1. Open Settings › General.
  2. Under Revenue metric, pick ARR or MRR.
  3. Save.

CustomerSaid stores revenue as annual amounts. When MRR is chosen, amounts are shown divided by twelve and the figure you type is multiplied by twelve on save. Ranking always uses the annual value. An untouched revenue field keeps its original value, so rounding never drifts.

Currency

Pick a display currency in Settings › General. USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, SEK and PLN are offered. There is no currency conversion: the number is shown with the symbol you pick.

Where revenue comes from

  • Entering it on a company.
  • A companies CSV import.
  • A HubSpot sync. When HubSpot is mapped, revenue is read-only in CustomerSaid.

Each company's revenue is counted once per opportunity, even if many people from it gave feedback.

Tips

  • Give revenue access to the few people who prioritize and plan accounts.
  • Use the same metric (ARR or MRR) your finance team reports, to avoid confusion.
